EXTRA Coarse Tumbler Grit:
Most people use a 60/90 grit silicon carbide for the first step of tumbling. However, if you have large pieces of rough or pieces that need an extra coarse grind you can begin with this 56 grit silicon carbide for rapid removal of material. Use four ounces of grit for every three pounds of barrel capacity. (If you don't have a scale, a slighly rounded tablespoon of grit weighs about one ounce.) |

Coarse Rock Tumbler Grit:
This is the grit used in the first step of the rock tumbling process. It is an ungraded silicion carbide powder between 60 and 90 mesh. Use four ounces of grit for every three pounds of barrel capacity. (If you don't have a scale, a slighly rounded tablespoon of grit weighs about one ounce.) |

Fine Rock Tumbler Grit:
